and i am still wondering what tool produced those :) you can also use the crt files from pokefinder, they should be ok.

Open crt files in an hexeditor:
00000010: 00 00 00 40 <- if not 40, make it so, fixed.
These old crts had wrong header length field set.

All the crt files but the last two give "invalid cartridge image" in Vice 2.4.17

yes, attach crt from file/cart menu or use commandline option -cartcrt action75.crt
