LOADPICTUREb we are in the outer space, this is the space ship avalon 3 on its first mission. following the course of the avalon 1 - destroyed in the beginning of the last war - the ship steps deeper into the endless space.... LOADPICTUREc the united states of america, three months later. LOADPICTUREd the military base msl42, home of the avalon mission placed on an artificial island in atlantic ocean. the whole mission can be controlled from this place. everyhing seems to be ok. LOADPICTUREe suddenly the contact to the avalon 3 got lost. in panic, the technicians try everything to get a connection to the ship, but nothing seems to help. after 20 minutes of trying they know, this is not a technical problem on their side. they have to inform the colonel. LOADPICTUREf not even 5 minutes later the colonel enters to room. "what do we have" he asks in hurry. "nothing, and that is exactly the problem, sir" "excuse me ?" "sorry sir, but it seems we lost the ship" "are you sure ?" "we already made a whole systemcheck, but we got no lifesign" "than i will have to inform the general" with the words "go on and find the ship" he leaves the room. LOADPICTUREg "colonel, i actually don't have much time, i hope it's important" "sir, it is important, we lost the avalon" "is this sure ?" "yes, absolutley, we lost the ship at nearly the same position as..." "..as what ? the avalon 1, years ago ?" "yes, sir" "any ideas what we shall do ?" "i would send some kind of rescue team to see what has really happend" "ok colonel, but i would prefer to send a battle team with them, just in case !" "which case ? you think this could be the beginning of a new war ?" "no i don't, but what if i am wrong ? send our best men." "have you though about someone special ?" "yes, i do, you know him" "but sir, he left us years ago." "find him, an bring him to me" "yes sir, i send someone to find him" LOADPICTUREh minutes later a helicopter is sent out. LOADPICTUREi two hours later they arrive on a small green island in the atlantic ocean, far away from any civilization. LOADPICTUREj two men in black suits leave the machine. looking arround on the island they find him at the beach. LOADPICTUREk "mayor mc guire ?" "who wants to know ?" LOADPICTUREl he asks very suprised. "mayor mc guire, it's very important that you come with us, the general LOADPICTUREmwants to see you !" "sorry, but i quit the service, the general should know about that" LOADPICTUREn "sure he knows, but he wants to see you" "and if i say no ?" "we are armed, sir" "ok, i understand, i change my clothes" LOADPICTUREo again two hours later the helicopter reaches the base with mayor bren mc guire on board. LOADPICTUREg "mayor mc guire, i am very happy to see that you followed my invitation" LOADPICTUREp "general, i think that i did not have any other possibility." "yes you are right" "where is the problem, sir, why i am here, i don't work for you any more." "bren, one of hours ships got lost" "sir, i don't have it" "bren, the ship got lost nearly at the same place as your ship, 12 years ago" "do you think it could be an attack ?" "yes, it's possible" "no sir, years ago we were attacked by the machine and its mutants, but i blasted them back into hell" "but .."
