Text from Morrissey Tribute

Description:moRR Tribute Scroll Text
Text:hello and happy halloween from your friends at genesis*project... we are proud to take you back in time to 1988 today with “morr tribute”... this screen is among many bbs graphics screens that morrissey aka “morr” created for so many ntsc scene bbs's back in the day... this particular screen was originally done for “fiberoptic hell”, which was one of fbr’s boards operated by toxic roadkill... I ran across this screen the other day, and asked one-eyed pirate if he could convert it to all lowercase petscii to display correctly on c*base for a cool halloween pic for optical illusion, and of course a tribute to my old friend morr... the screen is so cool, that we asked six to put some spooky music in by mr. death, and a sprite scroller to it, and release it for you as a halloween trick... or maybe treat... since then, i’ve actually tracked that old petscii guru down, and have been messaging him over the past days... could we see a return of one of the best c64 scene bbs graphics artists of all time? well, i guess we will have to stay tuned for that.... and now some words from oep/g*p ... happy covid-19 halloween to all you sceners! oep here with a few words.... optic freeze and i were talking about petscii the other day when he showed me this amazing screen by morrissey of fbr and asked me if it would work on c*base... i told him that it contained uppercase characters that wouldn't display correctly *but* i could fix that. thankfully i had the original seq file on an old floppy from the 80s, (yes, i'm *that* old), so i converted the seq to marq's format and made a few edits so that optic could use it on his bbs. i take no credit for the awesomeness of the original. i tried to keep it as close as i could. i hope more people uncover these gems from the early days of the scene for preservation.
i understand of has been in contact with morr and is trying to coax a comeback. i for one welcome the thought of the return of another og petscii master. take care everyone and be safe out there. greets to all those who keep the petscii scene alive. i am in awe of your talents. oep 10/31/2020... optic back with you on the keys again ... ghoulish greetings go out to all of the past and present friends and contributors of the mighty c64 scene... we love you all! ... call the g*p telnet boards... the hidden ... the-hidden.hopto.org ... optical illusion ... optical.c64bbs.nu ... frozen floppy... bbs.retrohack.se ... all on port 64128... happy halloween!! long live the c64... Of/g*P signing off october 31,2020 ...
