Text:SADNESS OF JOY - RAMBLINGS OF A MADMAN A DISCONNECTED SHORT STORY BIPOLAR MANKIND LOOKED AT THE CRUMPLED WARMACHINE IN HIS HANDS AND FELT SHOCKED. HE WALKED OVER TO THE WINDOW AND REFLECTED ON HIS UNTOUCHED SURROUNDINGS. HE HAD ALWAYS LOVED SPLENDOR IN THIS UNIVERSE WITH ITS NARROW, FRAGILE NATURE. IT WAS A PLACE THAT ENCOURAGED HIS TENDENCY TO FEEL SHOCKED. THEN HE SAW SOMETHING IN THE DISTANCE, OR RATHER SOMEONE. IT WAS THE FIGURE OF EARTH. EARTH WAS A DYING PLANET OF HOPE WITH NOW UGLY EYES BUT STILL A POWERFUL NECK. MANKIND GULPED. HE GLANCED AT HIS OWN REFLECTION. HE WAS A CREEPY, SELFISH, BLOOD AND GUTS DRINKER WITH SPIKY EYES AND DREADFUL FEATURES. HIS FRIENDS SAW HIM AS A SILENT SQUARISH SATAN. ONCE, HE HAD EVEN HELPED AN OLD WOMAN CROSS THE ROAD. BUT NOT EVEN A CREEPY PERSON WHO HAD ONCE HELPED AN OLD WOMAN CROSS THE ROAD, WAS PREPARED FOR WHAT EARTH HAD IN STORE TODAY. THE INFERNO TEASED LIKE DESTROYING BIRDS, MAKING MANKIND WORRIED. AS MANKIND STEPPED OUTSIDE AND EARTH CAME CLOSER, HE COULD SEE THE LOOSE GLINT IN HER EYE. EARTH GLARED WITH ALL THE WRATH OF 7.9 BILLION ARROGANT HUMANS. SHE SAID, IN HUSHED TONES, 'I HATE YOU AND I WANT PEACE. MANKIND LOOKED BACK, EVEN MORE WORRIED AND STILL FINGERING THE CRUMPLED WARMACHINE. 'EARTH, I RULE OVER YOU,' HE REPLIED. THEY LOOKED AT EACH OTHER WITH STRESSED AND MIXED FEELINGS, LIKE A PAIR OF FRIED OCTOPUS ARMS TO BE EXPLOITED AT A VERY HUNGRY APOCALYPSE FRENZY, WHICH HAD ORCHESTRAL MUSIC PLAYING IN THE BACKGROUND AND TWO GREEDY UNCLES KILLING EVERYTHING IN SIGHT TO THE BEAT. MANKIND STUDIED EARTH'S UGLY EYES AND HER POWERFUL NECK. EVENTUALLY, HE TOOK A DEEP BREATH. 'I'M SORRY, BEGAN MANKIND IN APOLOGETIC TONES, 'BUT I DONT FEEL THE SAME WAY, AND I NEVER WILL. I JUST DON'T HATE YOU EARTH. EARTH LOOKED UNSTABLE, ALMOST VIBRATING, HER EMOTIONS WERE RAW LIKE A PURRING SOUNDING RIVER OF TEAR POLLUTION. MANKIND COULD ACTUALLY HEAR EARTH'S EMOTIONS SHATTER INTO A MILLION PIECES. THEN THE RUDE PLANET OF HOPE HURRIED AWAY INTO THE DISTANCE. NOT EVEN A LAST DRINK OF BLOOD AND GUTS WOULD CALM MANKIND'S NERVES TONIGHT. THE END CREDITS: CODE BY MENTAL INC. - GRAPHICS AND MUSIC BY ADHD AND MANIC DEPRESSION - THANKS TO MR SPECIAL PERSON FOR CODE ASSISTANCE! SADNESS OF JOY, CREATED IN 2022 BY MENTAL INC.
