Focus Meeting #3
Party Report

Good idea, bad execution
In 1993 there had been 2 (successful) internal meetings at my place in Den Haag. Early 1994 I had the idea to have another one, but this time it would take place at a building in Baarn, where the company of Heathcliff's father had their offices. Almost all members showed up, except for X-Byte, Sander and Fonzie.

Unfortunately things didn't work out the way they were supposed to. The meeting started on friday evening, when everybody was still tired because of work/school, and after a while people started getting irritated. There was some friction between some of the members (PDB & Heathcliff never had been friends, and it showed), people were hungry (there were no stores nearby, only a gas station that didn't open up until 9 o'clock or something), security wasn't notified and wanted to call the police, half the team got stoned, and people were bored out of their brains.

Ofcourse we had some fun as well: going to a local pub in the middle of the night, having no clue where we were (and it was fucking cold), and we finally managed to finish another demo (Not Worthy). Still, at that time I was afraid it would mean the end of Focus, as several members had expressed their discontent.

In the end things weren't *that* bad, but I think for some it was a reason to finally give up the scene-life, as several of the attendants never were active for the team after that, and stopped in the following years.
