Misuse of voting
- Is there any policy of someone voting for themselves?
- Someone voted a '1' for all of the credentials of my profile. Now since this person was never on my BBS, and not on the scene when I had a bbs... how could they vote a '1'.
In fact, said person, voted a '1' all the way through my voting sections on here. The person is a member of a group that I have a disagreement with, and it was purely done to be malicious.
I'm not really concerned with what the vote results have to say, but if there's a policy or something that can be done, I'd like to know.
Voting complete 1's for someone isn't fair if you're doing it just to be malicious and not acting upon the person's actual contributions - then they go and vote for themselves.

Since virtually everyone and everything gets downvoted at some stage, I tend to think it all evens itself out anyway!
That said, I would like to see public voting. |

Dear site admins, let us vote on it again, let us decide for those public votes and finally do nothing about it (again).
Or just remove the whole voting-system. It only spreads hate and makes people go nuts. |

Once you have the option to make your votes public or hidden, you should also let the sceners deicide if they want to be ranked or not. |

Then I'll just up-vote you to compensate. Oh wait, up-voting is against my principles just as much as down-voting, sorry ;)
edit: I just made my votes public. Seemed odd to talk about making all votes public and having your votes hidden at the same time.

Problem is that I didn't notice 7 1's in your coder and graphician ranking.. Either I have been fooled and then it's 1:0 for you - and I should give you 2x 1 just to compensate my humiliation. Or, this was an intentional spam to get more visitors to your profile for which I should give you 2x 1 just because spam is evil thing and it should be fight against. |
