THE MOVERS Treasure Chest
Hi all ya guyz around here...
We've just started to open our Treasure Chest...
http://rapidshare.com/files/9304647/Hahni-Soft_of_WCS.ZIP.html
This first package are the transferred disks from Hahni Soft of WCS... WCS was just a local group. Jezi got later a member of Strike Force and Ruhrpott Cracker was also in the WCS (but actually we can't remember his handle at that time; we will add him then with his correct handle)...

* Distributed Sorting, is a good idea. What would that require and will it be possible at all ?
* Thanks for the new packs swasti! |

I have sorted quite some things together with Mason - whats needed is a pack of d64, good motivation and that you split the pack in half and start sorting :)

Thanks! Really dislike giving Rapidshare any cash, but it's fun to max out my line with C64 downloads :)
About the sorting problem - maybe some database organized by the d64 MD5/SHA checksums could be an idea? |

I'm planning and working on some kinda system like that. Throwing all transfered disks to a database with the possibility to upload new images. I have a php script which is capable of reading d64's directories which can be thrown to the database too. I'm also thinking about a kinda "Checkout" system, like images which "are being worked on" to prevent that several people check the same image.
It's just on hold due to lack of enough storage and traffic, so if anyone has an idea about cheap webspace..... |

Define cheap - and define webspace. How much is needed? |

Yeah, please give some ideas about your requirements, I'm sure someone would be able to help out.

actually I have around 3 gigs of transfered images which haven't been uploaded anywhere yet + counting the files which had been posted at this thread which should be ~4 gigs. Thinking of future uploads I guess 20 gigs of webspace should be lowest limit.
I can't define cheap as I actually have no idea about hosting prices. |
