I think most important feature would be "downvote everyone else...". |

Hey guys, how did you find the game competition? I know it was a bit messy (at least, I thought it was a bit messy).
Any tips for improvements? What about the sign up process? I spread around a couple of lists, and apparently some guys did sign up, but weren't noted down by me in my lil spreadsheet. So I wonder where/how they signed up :D
I'd like to improve a bit on user response, game type (IK+? Ninja suggested perhaps some marble madness 4 player mayhem). |

Cavey:
- at least two round for all matches
- higher score on the quarter, half and final rounds to play to
- afair there is a key combo to disable the balls - check with ninja :)
- guess the signup will always stay the same - just needs more attention drawing sheets probably |

Quote: Quoting Axis/OxyronI also read some critics on doing such a coop and working with such a big team. Well, the only alternative would have been to have no Censor demo at all and a very small Oxyron demo. To the time, the decision was made, Censor had no one to do the linking job and Oxyron´s only coder was Bitbreaker. I think no one prefers that szenario. And the coop was the obvious awnser to these problems. That the team got so big in the end is mainly caused by many people getting interested in the project when seeing the first previews. For me, it was "the logo" that got me back in the c-64 business. Atleast for this X.
So these large cooperations are basically little more than an iron lung for a terminally ill scene?
Yep, its a bit like that. The critical point is the linking. I think at the moment there are 5 coders out there that have the experience to do proper linking for a competitive trackmo and have the will to spend the 500+ hours to do so, without getting any benefit or fame for it. I´ve been there, done that, never will do it again! So all other coders, artist and musicians crowd themselves around these 5 people. The good thing on the coops is, that atleast the knowlegde gets shared.
My advice: Dont burn these people. If they are gone, the scene is dead! |
