I'm devastated by this sudden and unexpected death. We swapped traditional mail back in the 90s, later we remained connected on the net, met and talked at many parties, Forever, X, BCC... And now we've been again working closely together on a C-64 game project for the last couple of weeks/months that he was so excited about. I've been chatting with him on Discord only a few days back this month on so many different C-64 and life related topics. I still can't believe this precious life came to such a sudden end. |

I am currently collecting donations, which will be given to the family for free disposal. Anyone who wants to add something can transfer something via paypal. Send me a PM or have a look at "forum64.de" if you have an account there.
Independently of this, I will collect the numerous expressions of sympathy here and elsewhere and hand them over to the family in the hope that it will provide some comfort. |

Those were the days...
13 1/2 years ago BCC#3 in 2009 = my first meeting with MacGyver (left), me (right) in my mid 30s, him 29, both of us rather skinny if I compare to 2022. :)
From then on we met at EVERY single BCC party and various other events. Though he could be a pain in the ass at times (who isn't) and thus, might be regarded somewhat more difficult than the average 8 bit crazy dude, I'll always remember the good times and talks and laughs we had.
And boy, what a skilled gamer he was! More than once I saw him do speedwalks without trainers through fiddly games like Mission Impossible Series or Midnight Resistance in next to no time while everybody else was drinking and wondering WTH was going on :)
I will also implement shitloads of lists with incorrect or missing CSDb info he emailed me, though he had no active account anymore, he cared.
So once again: Godspeed MacGyver
And everyone else, take good care of yourselves, see your doctors at least every other year, we're all not getting any younger, and this is not the first former group mate I lose all of a sudden in his 40s |

i refer to "And everyone else, take good care of yourselves, see your doctors at least every other year, we're all not getting any younger, and this is not the first former group mate I lose all of a sudden in his 40" every single word is such important. thanks TheRyk for reminder . |

When I read his name as a thread title on the CSDb main page, I was so hoping nothing bad happened to him. What a shock! Cheerful guy, extremly devoted to the C64. I will miss him and our epic battles when playing IK+ Gold. Condolences to everyone close to him. What a sad day. |
