[Back to serious mode...]

psych8580 mentioned about playing SID music during the gfx compo. I like the idea as well, so could that be arranged?

I think that would be possible. There is an audio setup available. If someone is interested in sending us a SID music set we can play it in the background.

I'd vote for some Hubbard mix during that time!

More improvements have been made to the upcoming X-party. By popular demand we have expanded our video and audio setup to the main hall, so we can bring entertainment to both party area's. Therefore the performances will be held in the basement and the competitions will be in the main hall so all you old lazy people can grab a chair and enjoy the 8bit delight in its full glory on the 3x4 video screen.

For those interested in the specifications:

Main Hall
Big phat audio setup (4x EAW KF600 top + 4x SB600 sub)
Big screen 4 by 3 meters
4500 Ansi Lumen projector
4 meter truss for the projector and atmospheric lighting

Music Basement
Stage 4x3 meter at 40cm height
Big phat audio system comparable to X-2012
Big Screen 3 by 2:25 meters
4500 Ansi Lumen projector
4 meter truss for the stage
4 meter truss for extra lighting and the projector
4x Moving head for lighting
1x stroboscope
1x smoke machine
8 parrs and 2 profiles

checking general compo rules...
"Your entry (or part of it) may not have been released before the party actually takes place."

how strict is that rule? so all sid used must be brand new? same for any gfx? chars included?

I know that sounds like a stupid question (ok, it's a stupid question), but it's better to clarify now as I don't want my supercool demo ranked #1 and then see it squalified for reusing CBM fonts... :)
