Is this request restricted to c64 demos only? Because there immediately are a few amiga demos that come to mind...

In the last part of Protogeo 100% with the rotating vector cube, you can keep some keys pressed (iirc "a", "s", "d") to "freeze" the rotation around the corresponding axis (x, y or z).

Not much "rendering" or user input to speak of, but the elastic/electric collisions part at the start of disk 2 of Another Beginning will run without repetition until <space> is pressed.

you're kidding right? most demos from 80s have this feature, part runs until space is pressed. :D

The point was that's what shows the collisions were not precalculated.
