Release id #112223 : Speedball 101%
Talked a bit with Mr.Z about this game, as it's released after his departure. It is probably a legit release but it looks like this one has been tampered with.
Here is the whole chain of depacking that is involved:
ByteBoiler, return to mem: $080d (NSU)
NSU Packer v1.0, return to mem: $0816 (intro)
NSU Packer v1.0, return to mem: $ff40 (pic1)
NSU Packer v1.0, return to mem: $9f00 (pic2)
ByteBoiler, return to mem: $080d (NSU)
NSU Packer v1.0, return to mem: $07e9 (game)
(Byteboiler is 1994:ish)
Can we find the untouched version of this release ? |

You're right, this can't be _released_ in 1989. The crack by Mr.Z could have been made in 1989 but then got re-released as fixed in 1994 or later. Infact is also tagged as v2, so the original v1 released in 1989 is missing.
Removed the release date from the entry for now.
There is another Speedball but not cracked by Mr.Z, the release date matches (8 may 89). There might have been some confusion between the 2 releases. |

I can only find the crack on Derbyshire Ram’s disks when searching, btw. |

It seems HOK linked this into an onefiler. Original release is still missing though. |

I've added an entry for the original version: Speedball
I have also sent HOK a message, hopefully he still has the original somewhere. |
