Release id #195332 : VBASIC 1.0

For interested parties - just released 1.0 of VASYL BASIC. A BASIC extension with tools for low level programming and full support for VASYL/BeamRacer

Answering the questions from the release page:

"standard parallel operation with the VIC-II is possible after installing and running the Beam Racer?"

I am not fully convinced that I correctly understand the question, but...

* installation of BeamRacer in no way affects how the computer operates - the expansion remains "invisible" by default and needs to be software-activated first

* even activating installed BeamRacer alone doesn't change any of the standard methods of VIC programming. With BeamRacer installed and activated one can still employ the same programming techniques as always, with the only difference being that inadvertent writes into unused range of VIC address space (which shouldn't be done anyway) may cause unpredictable results due to the fact that those addresses are now valid and refer to VASYL registers

> "@SD: Is MHL someone else besides you?"

Besides me there's the guy whom you still remember as "Thorgal/WFMH". He wrote the vast majority of the code for this release, with my code parts being mostly fixes and additions to the core. "MHL" is his "rebranding" idea.

> Still no answer about the file extension. .c64 can't be regarded as standard, can it?

The good thing about standards is that there are so many of them to choose from ;-)

I use it for some good time. C64 is not a msdos machine and does not care how you name your files. Just save it as PRG and that's it. If you have C128 or another CBM machine that will help differentiate compatible binaries. If your C64 storage device runs on non-CBM DOS and assumes something else than PRG for files, which don't have their names ending with ".PRG" (or ",PRG") then add whatever is needed in order to make it happy. None of that should be too difficult IMHO.

Never heard before. He's not listed in W.F.M.H.
There is a Thorgal also from Poland, it's the same guy or another one? I bet it's a different one as this one is just a swapper.
Maybe add it, help on completing the database.

One have to open the file with a hexeditor to understand what's in it.
I don't care if you don't care, I've renamed it to prg in the entry and you're invited to follow some rules that others follow, not just your own ones.

Probably because I was on Atari 8-bit scene when active ('87-'91). C64 is 2018+ for me, with VBASIC being my first public release.

Anyway, I've added my handle to the db and asked silverdr to reassign the credits.
