Release id #3215 : Double Density

There's a duplicate entry of this release on Pouet.net, one of the dupes stating that the demo was released on November 30th 1987. Can someone confirm that?

Well, if you count Double Density as the original release of this tune and assume the MoN music screener was released only a month later it may be well possible. End of November 1987 and 1988 are pretty close. I think I once asked Jeroen about the year of this tune and he said 1988 too. But of course asking someone questions about stuff happened 20 years ago is always to be taken with a bit of uncertainty...

The demo was included on Magic Disk 64 issue 12/89! So that doesn't give us any more clues, I guess. Judging from Jeroen's tunes that are confirmed to be from 1987, they all sound a lot worse (soundwise) than JT in Space, so I really think this must be an 1988 tune and the info on pouet is wrong. Maybe 11/88, and it's just a typo...

Think the music was first used in Run for Cover, which is released in April 1988. Mr. Decibel was in close contact with Jeroen (still is, AFAIK) and I think he's the one who pushed this tune into the ether.

But, it's weird to think that Pouet is telling the truth and not the actual release. ;)

Oh, yeah, I think you're right Hein... I remember that run for cover demo especially for the music ;)

All c64 releases added on pouet by blkpanther were added using a script that pulled the information from csdb

Ah. It (or she) didn't check the upscroll in the demo then.

Indeed.

And since when is Pouet used as an official scene reference?
Come on...

I never stated or even faintly implied that. But there's a lot of vague info here on CSDb as well, so all I was trying to was to verify contradictory informations from two sources. Nitpicking detective work like this must be a HVSC syndrome... ;-)
