Release id #102005 : Decade X
So does any converted crap uploaded to CSDB constitute a scene release? And sure, give newbies a bit of slack, but this is the fourth straight convert. From a "music group", with a single member. |

Well, you've learned what you don't must do now.
One of the key elements of The Scene is to show off your skills in coding, music or pixeling.
You showed you can convert a picture with some tool.
Great, but we don't have to see that.
Since day 1 of csdb we've seen wannabee sceners with conversion tools and we're quite fed up with that.
That said, go to codebase64.org, watch demo's, listen to sid music and learn.
In the meanwhile grow some elephant skin and leave the converted shite on your HD.
Welcome to The Scene. |

Welcome to the scene. Things were harder when we had BBS, you'd be banned from most of the good ones by now.

pievspie, don't get bogged down about it all. I may as well admit that in 2005 I nearly released a converted picture of some scene in a Futurama episode.... then when I saw people's opinions on other converted stuff here on CSDB, I thought... nah, I think I won't bother... don't want to get flamed as a lamer at the beginning of my existence in the uber-wonderful scene. Obviously you hadn't noticed that beforehand, so you learnt the hard way. Keep trying though, it's nice to see more English people on board. :) |

Hi pievspie,
Yeah, converting images using tools make some people quite grumpy and unhappy. I know this all too well. :D But don't worry about it.. Everyone starts from somewhere and we all learn from the criticism, what's acceptable, what's not. But don't take it too personally :)) |

talking about "converted crap", you don't see at my pictures they are converted, usually I pixel 100% by hand, but the last months I tried using Project1 and did converts of my own drawings, making a c64 version out of them, so you might see alot of converted crap from me too, or just beautiful crap.. I pixeled alot lately, but right now suffer a burnout again since few weeks, not sure but I have about 27 pics in reserve, yeah upload some, you'd say :D - but I do, I do..
