This is probably just going to further confuse the issue. Sorry.
Whether the "The Assassin" mentioned in this release is the same or not, "The Assassin" was one of a few handles shared by the group (DLoC) back then. It was standard practice for us to have one account on a board and have the whole group use it. The only time any of us made personal accounts was when we intended to actively participate in message boards instead of the uds. This made it (in our minds) impossible for someone to be held accountable using the logs for that account since it could have been any of us in the group. It also gave us the ability to move files pretty much 24/7 since we had guys on both coasts and in AU on the 64 at the time.
I don't believe any of our ghost handles were ever officially in any other groups back then. We did, however, move a lot of files for various groups. Pro-Hack and myself were the primary guys in DLoC who were interested in the 64 trading scene, and we had a good dozen or so wannabes at any given time who would dutifully move files from board to board for us using our ghost handles on either side.
As for this particular release, I don't remember hauling it, so I can't claim it. It could be one of my imports, or one of the other guys might have moved it. There may even have been an actual person using "The Assassin" that wasn't one of us. |

Hey Six,
interesting story! :-) Guess we can assume that it is a separate scener then, at least someone added membership to 2 groups.
Thanks for the explanations! :) |
