Should “Music Collections” be native only?

Looking at the Music Collections chart, it was kinda annoying to see so many HVSC entries there… like, I appreciate the work done on that, 100%, it’s a brilliant thing. But… I was hoping to see a chart of the best native C64 music disks, really.

Maybe HVSC should be classified as Other Platform..?

There is no other possible category because it's not a tool, you can only blame the lack of categories. Add a "sid file collection" and we can change it.

really not a biggie imho

allowing to EXCLUDE terms in "Advanced" search to filter results would already help the TS with his issue

Well. It is a release, for other platforms. Often these are not the main interest for csdb compared with c64 stuff. In this case it’s really important as HVSC is awesome.

I disagree, the perpetual vote drama is actually quite amusing. Plus it's good to see upvoted stuff occasionally, hell, our Focus demo Thirty was in top 10 for a few days too \o/
dont take that brief moment of happiness away /o\

As the video recording of a demo could not be added as "C64 Demo" ;) the same argument can be made here, as HVSC is not an executable and not running on C64, as "C64 Music Collection" should.

Similarly, if we would have a .d64 with raw music files on it without an executable, we would not categorize it as a music collection, right? We would use probably "C64 Misc".

So this one could probably be correct for HVSC, also what is this category that I have not noticed before, "Related release"? Is it a general C64 related category? Is there a definition somewhere? This one could also be used IMHO.

BTW cannot imagine my life without HVSC.

no, and whatever gets added here is just everyone's waste of time and bytes stored on this forum.
Make a correct category for HVSC (or any sid file collection) or simply stfu, there is no correct category as of now, it's that simple.
