primary star party...any animo to party?
on 8 till 10 august will start the primary star party, held by role+anubis.
for those who didn't knew already: the x-party has been canceled once more so this will be the ONLY dutch party for this year.

for now i can tell you that the entrance price is 15 euro, quit fair to what we offer you:
free entrance for girls
free beer
probably free bbq
probably live performances
the movie "tron" on bigscreen
this will be an 8bit party only so please leave your pc stuff at home and bring back the cool 8bit party spirit with you.

As far as I know the X-party hasn't been cancelled because the organizers already decided a few years ago there will never be another one. It's like saying that the Silicon ltd. party this year has been cancelled as well :) |

i heard some other rumours that they were planning something. and 6 months ago, sinistre/scs wanted to organise a party but it was cancelled due to a lot of troubles.....
anyway. check the role site ;-) |

Check the site yourself, you'll notice I've already made my reservation :)
Anyway, I haven't talked with Burglar since last summer so I'm not 100% sure of what's going on, but afaik none of the original organizers (Burglar, CBA, Nightshade, Tim & me) wanted to organize another X party. Apart from these 3 maybe some of the Xenon guys (WVL, Oxbow & Spek) have the rights to use the name but no more. Ofcourse, everybody is free to do so but it wouldn't show much respect, right?
I guess we'll get these rumours for years to come. No wonder, because the X party was something quite unique indeed, and a large part of that was because of who organized it (real scene-veterans). Not to insult you, but I'm pretty sure Primary Star won't even be half as good as any X party.
Now please don't ask me why I'm going, you make me start to doubt myself :) |

i only went to the x'98....free beer and very stoned all the time. i met some guys like whw/entropy and aeg, sander and burglar. it was cool to be there and a pity it wouldn't be there any.
primary star party is the first 'try out' and a kind of 'role party' but i hope it will convince some dutch sceners to come ;-) |

I have been to X2000 and I have to say it was not that cool actually. Of course, cool people from all over the world, but the entrance fee was way too high, and the location was not that great imho.
But don´t get me wrong: I did not at all regret going there!
