What Copies What was never cracked

Is anyone or any group up for a challenge?

I posted D64/G64 of What Copies What on my blog, This was never been cracked and would be a program of interest for many.

The protection is:
garbage tracks,
short track headers
Trk 35 all AA
Trk 36 weakbits
Halftracks

The file and more info is here on my blog
http://www.c64copyprotection.com/copys-1988/

Thank you

So it's a program that suggests what program to use to copy of her protected programs?

It is, BUT not as nice as the Original Parameter Cross Reference guide that we all have.

Yes, that program was missing until 4 years ago when 5-6 showed up on Ebay. It reminds me of when a copy program also contained copy protection... Hmmm, never made sense to me.

Peeked around in the program a bit, its basic64/abacus compiled (for which no decompiler exists yet) and that means the code is quite a funky mess :=) if you really wanted, i guess just rewriting the basic program from scratch would be less work than removing that protection. not worth the trouble =P

edit: master did it again - What Copies What

apparently the dumped disk was broken - another dump is needed to confirm this, i guess

Nice work MASTER, fast also.

Is there a why I can message MASTER and ask a few questions about this program and how you approached the crack on it for my C64 copy protection blog.

I do not see a PM anyplace on this user page.
Thank you

I can't find any "master" matching him, maybe he was under another login? Tell him to retry for activation, I'll make sure he's reactivated, but he has also 7 days to login after reactivation.
