Release id #43873 : Subhunter Preview

You'll probably wonder about the status of this project. So far it is looking good for me and hopefully before the end of this year (Depending on time I spend on it) the full game should be released :)

I am intending to keep going with this game. So far I have worked hard on 11 levels. Still loads more to go, but completion status (Since 2005) has risen to 62% :)

I hope you all will be looking forward to the full game, when I release it :)

Hope you like it :)

The game was originally planned to be a free release from my web site, but there was some general interest with the game project. It was suggested that I should release it to Psytronik Software. So that, I did. However, I asked if it would be alright to release the game Christmas time as a free game in 2008 and we were okay with that. I gave www.c64.com exclusive free download on Christmas eve, then I uploaded it on to the TND website to celebrate my 30th birthday. The game was not meant to have been uploaded on to CSDB, but I welcome it.

Sub Hunter was meant to have been a scene release, because at the end of the day we thought "Sub Hunt" by Mastertronic on the C64 was absolutely crap and the VIC20 version rocked. I tried to make it play bit like the original VIC20 version, but Frank and I got very carried away with the title and turned it into something really special, which commercial markets would have loved if it was released in the late 1980's.

For all of those who have been supporting this game or who has bought this game, I would like to say a big thank you to you all. I shall continue the venture into creating new C64 games and also composing music to share with you all. I'm still working on a game already :o)

very interesting story, Richard. Nice to see you are still active on the C64. I also respect your effort very much, as I have seen a lot of improvemnts over the past decade. Furthermore, I really enjoy some of your tunes.

Gotta buy the game one of those days.
