selling cracked releases?
as i never really was involved in the scene in the old days, i wondered if cracking groups sold their releases? i mean, like on a regular basis or only sometimes?
i browsed the web for a while and couldn't find anything that is clear about that point.
of course, there's a lot of fame involved having the newest stuff released as quick as possible, with a neat intro, eventually bugfixed and maybe cheats, but was it all about the fame? was the scene that idealistic? |

Me and some of my local friends bought warez from Razor/Oneway around 1988-1989.
We for sure were lamers those days :) All of us around 11-13 years old... |

I always stole my warez from the toy store. The last thing I stole (which was activisions game maker) set off the door alarm and you should have seen how fast I ran.
At that time, I would only pay for those wonderful mastertronic games. You know how that went? Pay for one, steal 4. They had those tiny little binder cases... Fun times indeed..
