Are there any new AWESOME RPG games for the C64?

Hello,

I am wondering are there any new awesome complete RPG games developed for the C64 that are action/RPG games or similar to console styles, etc? It would be greatly appreciate it if someone can help me in this regard, if there is can someone list me all the AWESOME new RPG games developed here? If not can anyone direct me to a new source that is developing games for C64, specifically in the RPG department? Thanks in advance.

Quote: The Mars Saga

Yeah! I love that game and also, simple as it is, I can't help but also love the in-game music.

For me, my best memories about my early addiction to the c64 were of Ultima 3 and 4. I think the fact that I had to go over to a friends house (circa 1985-86) to play it made it last longer and become more of an addiction. I was 11 years old at the time, and ambition to finally be able to level up and get the power to cast the most powerful spells was emotionally compelling. Then when Ultima V came out (finally) it was amazing, since the NPCs actually had schedules of activity (like going to work, going to the tavern, and sleeping at night) that were calibrated to the game's clock. The only bad part was the C64 version didn't have music (unlike the c128 version). Even now, games on the PC like Oblivion, which promise A.I. for NPCs don't even come close to U5 in my opinion.

When I used to go over to people's houses and wait for their tape drives to load, I remember another game called, Sword of Fargoal. It was simple, but fun in those early days.

By the time I got my C64C, The Bard's Tale III was out...I beat it over the summer one year on my C64C.

EDIT: Master of Magic ruled. I was always intranced by the music. I liked it so much I bought the original.

Not to forget the brilliant Centauri Alliance. Bard's Tale in space. A sequel (made by Michael Cranford) crafted in a completely different way than Dragon Wars.

I don't think most of these qualify as action/RPG games...

The only NEW and AWESOME game that I can think of is Minima Reloaded by Magervalp.

Minima Reloaded

A nice little game that plays very well.

@ Moloch : Wow.. I totally had a serious addiction to Legacy of the Ancients. I forgot all about that game. Had my code wheel thingy with me always, haha. Good memory Jon!
