A small bug: when the emulator runs into JAM and you hit "continue", it does not really halt the machine - IRQs still run (e.g. music keeps playing in demos that crash). |

Awesome release. You keep me working on C64 stuff as I can't assemble my C64 in the new place due to space issues but with VICE I can still make the ball rollin' on. Your work is much appreciated! |

Also taking over an .org domain without the owner acknowledging is a tough job. Unfortunately Mr. Boose doesn't seem to care.
People could blow his traffic bill sky high to show him the domain is still there and wants maintenance :)

It's clearly an error in the Google algorithms that it keeps listing the old page with the "new" version 2.2 from 2009 as the #1 result. But maybe it could be fixed by some "SEO", aka linking as much as possible to the new version. |

3SID support! Great! This could bring some amazing tunes!
I'll ask buddy Roland Hermans if he'll make a 9 tracks SID player out of the normal player he wrote ages ago.
Shouldn't be that much work. |

Oh yes. Do more have trouble with the colors of the new VICE?
I tried removing any VICE configuration files
left from previous installment but nothing changes.
Does anyone have some tips? |

Even micro64.de has a higher page rank when searching for "c64 emulator". The actual VICE site is on page 10 for me, that basically makes it impossible for people to find.
As far as SEO is concerned, one important rule that applies to Google is to make sure you have a proper page title and URL. This increases your page rank significantly. Make sure you have as many of the typical search terms in the page title and the URL.
So for VICE I would change the page title from "The VICE Emulator" to
"VICE - The emulator for C64, C128, VIC20, PET, PLUS4 and other Commodore computers". And insert your favorite superlative between "The" and "emulator". :) |
