Word Processors

Are there any C64 word processors or notepad type applications that don't save in clear text?

Quite a nice text converter is that tool: http://noname.c64.org/csdb/release/?id=37290. You could also convert to PC txt-format.

Packed with many functions,
KWIK Write is a great word processor
it supports 80 columns

In 80s 90s i used it for writing ASM programs

Initial post asked for storing in non-plain text,
but it does not that. it stores clean SEQ or PRG files.

Uhm.. actually it supports 132 columns.. but well, still only 40 chars visible ;-)

oh, and it stores in SEQ, PRG or USR and supports custom charsets... but no meta/markup stuff.. plain old clear-text.. whatever the hell that is ,-)

But being the old man that I am, I can't remember the name of it anymore. Something with Task?

Tasword!

Suddenly I remembered ..

mini office 2 was also seq files.

radiantx.. it's all about open office on the pc =) can't get a decent printer to work with c64 , dot matrix with the mps803/801 or whatever it is , don't cut it ;-)

cbm ascii / pc ascii is just +40 / -40 or something, can't remember, so long since I used it. TMR was here, and linking lethargy etc, and we had both had TIB drives which would read pc format, so was all of 5 minutes to write a convert tool. Although many have coded things that do the conversion.. kermit terminal comes to mind, burg did that if I remember right? I used to use it to connect to uni's unix from home and people there didn't believe me.hehe

Kermit-Terminal

I wonder if people spell check their scrollers now, hehe.

Use laser printer with RS-232 port - that's what I did :)
