Sid Duzz It

Hi'yall,

I was wondering who else is using Shape's SDI editor around here. I would like to talk about the editor with other users about their experiences with it and maybe some technical blah blah aswell.

Cheers!

Hej All
this is my first post on the forum but i have spent hours
reading ... here is my problem i need you gays or girls to help me solv
i am trying to learn how to produce something called music in this
fantastic peace of software but now i have reached a dead end ...
first i have made the dump and assemble it to prg then convert to sid so far so good
the song sounds good in acid64player but when i play it as a psid converted prg or the sid file on the real thing or in vice it go´s ballistic the instrument are all over the place with crazy pitch ...
i am a try and error type of gay so maybe i have put some wrong value in the
filter/vibrato table ??? can this be the reason ??? i have tryed all diffrent parameters
in the player routin and it sounds right when i run it in tass ...
hope that i have provided enuff info for you to help me
kind regards

If the problem is the gay .sid file then you should try to add ldx #$00 before calling the init player routine.

( For some reason unknown to me the sidplayer.exe for windows only set the A-register for sub-tunes when calling the init routine. Hello HVSC!? )

If you have assembled the song to $1000 then adding this will normally fix the sidplayer problem:

* = $0fff
tax

HVSC infact always add a tax at (init-1) for SDI tunes, and so I did in my prg2sid to save me the hassle to do it manually each time =) I've recently said so here Crackers Quest
Sidplay only uses A in init setting it to (subtune-1), X and Y are undefined and must be inited by user code.
The only one I know have fixed his SDI source to do the tax directly in init is Jan Harries =)

I just uploaded the fixed 2.07 player.
SDI V2.07 Player ADSR Fixed

Geir Tjelta fixed some ADSR bugs for me in 2010, and i used this since.

The player uses A-reg for init.

You can safely use this, and ADSR bugs have been fixed.
This is only 1x speed player..
