Games created with Action Replay monitor

I created this topic since my `omega120 games` topic has been closed for some reason, If any you coders out there codes with a `Action Replay` monitor I would like you to contribute to this thread of the amount of coding you may have done with the cartridge, I myself as many of you may be aware I created and wrote `Manky` with `Action Replay` monitor and very soon you can expect from my website update6 `Manky` a very playable I am sure version of the game with a few surprises in store for you all.

Quote: No... Monitors are for monitoring, and assemblers are for assembling - funny that eh?

Did you write your game(s) using the monitor?

I certainnly did but not much impression from the guys in here.

Quote: I've been spending problably over 4 years to make my main game project (Had breaks in between as well). I'm hoping the outcome of Sub Hunter will be positive. Although I am still in the bug fix stage.

To work on a game to have it how people would want it requires a lot of hard thinking and patience. That's what coding is all about.

Unfortunately for me I used to fall through the *quantity* trap than quality and I kept on ending up making more than one version of the same game, due to a nasty bug in the code that required to have been fixed. There were 7 versions of Balloonacy (First one), 3 versions of Grid Zone, 1 version (full game) of Grid Zone Remix, 2 versions of Balloonacy 2, and some others. But now I'm going to be taking my time with my game productions and I'll ask people to playtest those and give me ideas to improve the work or report any bugs in the game. :)

BTW: Make your game, Manky easier to play. Slow the enemies down slightly and don't kill Manky when he falls off the top of the ledge. It is unfair for the gamer. Also, don't add silly comments on the title screen about who banned you from Lemon 64, this is off-putting.

I seem to get from a lot of people here joke comments etc. they all seems to make a big deal on my games saying their full o bugs and the like, nothing realy positive maybe its because I wrote my games with a monitor they probably think I still live in the dark ages, about the future correction coding on Manky yes I am trying to make the game easier to play but I find its hard going to just how easy I should makle it I dont want the gameplay dead easy do I , I will concider all of your comments and put them into use, about the ban display that was just a temp joke for lemoners, its removed now.

Quote: Yay, all done! Written a simple scrolling shoot 'em up engine in under twenty four hours - oh, using an assembler is such a palava, isn't it! It's been "named" Boom Zone on the grounds that it sort of sounded okay... ish. Enforcer 2 or Xeo3 it ain't, but i'm quite pleased with it all told. =-)

Yes you can be imperessive on your writing code and thats a positive comment from me more than you give me about Manky.

no. the game could be without manky and without toilet and it'd still be crap.

Gotta agree. Instructions tell me to pick up the grain, but the grain kills me 90% of the time? And how can I pick up keys that hang out in the air when a long fall kills you?

This game doesn't just have bad gameplay, it has punishing and illogical gameplay.

More negative comments is the world all negative these days , I if you look at the instructions correctly you will see if MANKY`S skin turns white if he collects a egg he is able to collect the grain to gain more points if Mankys skin turns pink again then he will no doubt lose a life if he collides with the grain. Manky has to jump over to the keys then veryquickly turnround and move as fas as possible to get back to the platform if I can collect a key and that says something I am sure you can. but all is said I aam considering to slow down the enemies to see if all is acceptable.

I think you just say that as because I wrote the game with a monitor instead of an assembler, I think I made qute a few great routines in it if you ask me.....
