What demos would you recommend for outsiders?

I am going to show a bunch of people that have no clue about demos what the C64 demoscene is all about, and want to present a few demos.

Which demos do you think are good for impressing people who've never seen a demo?

i guess you don't have to understand the c64 coding issues to appreciate most of them.

Different angles. Screenings would help... ( I mean.. like movie screenings before they get butchered in cuttingroom and butchered according to the questionaires, the scum is handing over to the producers after the screening...)

Thank you for all the replies and suggestions here! I ended up showing a little bit of several pieces, and also some artwork.

I did it in context of a documentary pitch, and it reminded me it's really hard to get outsiders to understand our fascination, both past and present. My goal, however, is to pull that off; I want the ordinary Joe to understand. And so I do not want to make it too technical - it's not just for us.

sorry to say it, but one of the recent PC demos is probably the only thing that would do that.

Such as 8088 mph ;-)
