NTSC video sync differs on Power64 and VICE X64

Hi,
I’m working on a NTSC effect that includes classical color raster barlines.
I’ve tested it on both Power64 and VICE, but the sync with the same delay values works well in one and is wrong in other and vice versa if I change the values.
I cannot test on a real NTSC machine, so I would like to have a suggestion for my test choice, in order to have a perfect synth on a real NTSC machine.
Perhaps, I think, VICE is emulating with better accuracy than Power64... what do you think about it?
THX. ;-)

I wouldn't rely on Power64 for any kind of emulation accuracy, especially not when it comes to NTSC.

Unfortunately the same is valid for VICE. I would suggest try CCS64 for NTSC.

I think x64sc will be more accurate than CCS64 in most cases but feel free to report any bugs you find.

uww. seriously, vice hasnt been as broken as ccs64 for a while, even in ntsc =)

besides that, you cant rely on emu ever, not even on pal =P

... or you could ask one of the NTSC guys here to test your part on real hardware. ;)

agree. actually why didn't you ask me? I have an NTSC SX64 and I have a recording equipment.

Many thanks to all of you!
Nafcom, I will ask you soon... currently is still WIP, but I've almost finished. ;-)

In my experience (testing on a real NTSC machine), Vice is very accurate. The only inconsistencies I ran into on the real hardware vs. Vice had (I think) to do with slightly different ROM versions, and were only things like parts of RAM were cleared to certain values in emu, but not on h/w, etc.

All timing was (from what I could tell; doing strict timing routines such as opening sideborders etc) perfectly accurate in Vice for NTSC.

EDIT: Yeah, just read Nafcom's test post; go with that :)

and if you find differences between vice and the real thing, please report them on the bugtracker so they can be fixed :)
