How much can we interfere into your project template? Do we start from your sng at all? |

No, no need to start from my template. The only rule is that I still want to be able to recognize the chord progression, with a melody on top. Apart from that I'm very flexible. :) |

Now, as a compo, this is very interesting. However I do feel that a man shouldn't be held responsible for his actions while intoxicated, as if everything went as expected and even as desired, he is in a totally irresponsible state and can (will) do stupid things. Like set up a very niche compo with unheard of monetary prizes.
In my opinion, you Stinsen shouldn't feel a tiniest bit obligated to shovel out 1.6 large ones, and no one should get offended if the prizes are sobered up a little bit. Maybe retract the monetary prizes, or at least divide by 10? 100, 50 and 10 sound a whole lot sensible than 1000, 500 and 100.
This is probably not to everyone's favour (especially if someone entered the compo on a sole purpose to hopefully pocket thousand of Stinsen's hard earned euros), but hey ho. I wouldn't enter the compo for the reason that if somehow, by a miracle, I would end up in top three, taking 100-1000€ from a fellow hobbyist who did rash decisions and reckless promises while drunk would feel just plain wrong.
Just my 2 eurocents. |

I'm with Frostbyte, I always am, but if I participate and if I win(those are two planet size if's), I still want 5 euros. I feel this compo would actually benefit if it didn't have the prizes involved or if they at least were more symbolic. Now it adds a somewhat sour taste. The tune in all it's niceness should be enough inspiration for the good folks here! |

"man shouldn't be held responsible for his actions while intoxicated" - pretty valid for compo context but in general I cannot even stress how many things are wrong with this statement :D It was Stinsen's decision entirely - probably nobody would mind him withdrawing cash prize. I wouldn't for sure. |

Yes, withdraw or dramatically reduce the cash prizes. (And start arranging SIDwine-compos again, where the winner get bottles of wine!) |

Someone 3D-print small statues of Stinsen to send out, pls. :) I would love one, but I can't make music. :( |

To be honest I had assumed that if he indicated (as he did) that he is happy to continue to offer the compo’s prizes even after sobering up, then he is more than able to afford it. He’s a big lad, he can do as he pleases with his money, etc.
On the other hand, I would not be upset if he were to decide to withdraw the prizes; I enjoyed putting my entry together, and I imagine that there will be more interesting tunes to come. Obviously he should not be paying out if it’s going to do him any harm. |
