How can I get a proper .prg to be loaded in this tool?
Does this tool need DrazPaint format? |

Depends...
I guess you noticed that there are 2 different packages to download; 1 with and 1 without the vb dlls'

surprisingly it works fine with .wdp files from wd paint/wd studio, which is very similar to drazpaint format, but not quite, so unpacked drazpaint files dont work |

the hungarian heigh-ho converter (native c64 tool) is wonderful for this job, only one failure: you cant put the sprites off the screen and copy bitmap to them that way.
The english in it is horrible, but its the best logo/sprite converter on c64 IMHO.
Unfortunately I dont find this tool on csdb. |

I havent stopped pixeling actually. I only use bigger brushes these days. Sometimes I do finishing touch with 1x1 pixel brush even, esp. for c64 pictures. Scanning a sketch or converting Photoshop stuff most often results in messy edges and so.
Have you tried using big brush? (For instance in Photoshop, or with real paint or so)
It is very comfy to make rough composition and can result in accidental suprises. |

Cool. I've been searching for such a tool in the past. I couldnt find one at all. So I wrote my own little basic program to convert a bitmap charset to sprites. It was a bit buggy, but in Warp Mode it worked ok. (I made a calculation error in it, 64 bytes instead of 63 bytes)
For a skilled programmer it cant be too complicated to write a tool that converts 3 colour bitmap gfx to sprites on the fly. (Converting a big lumb of bitmap, that is, because sprite after sprite is a bit time consuming)
I guess many of those tools are created, for instance, many HZ demos have that Bob Stevenson Tutanch Amon picture in sprites, but they have never been released I guess. |
