Event id #1381 : C64.sk Cover Compo #1 (running!)

I know this sounds like useless whining but I find it strange that theres just .sid files available for the entries which is mostly emulator format.

So, would it be possible to have entries as .prg as well?

I third that.

Otherwise, don't upload to CSDb untill the compo is finished and PRGs are made with full credits.

There's certainly a lot of promotion going on around this event... Hmm.

Yeah I paid Grue, Groepaz and Mace to post this thread. I pay Doc to upload those sids (thanx dude). I also bribed Wreg and Cba not to remove the entries even when they don't have .prg files, not to speak that I own 51% shares of stock for this site worth ( $303 on NASDAQ and growing ). ;-)

roman

or do you mean you missed it?

ok, now i know about your shares:

you have 5 hours to either add .prgs or raise the bribe-money :-)

Ok, on serious note: Either doc will have to add .prg (as he started the entries, which I'm really thankful for coz I will not have to do that after the compo) or I'll do it after 20:00 today. Can't make it sooner. Also I'm not adding prg because the util doesn't work on my machine currently so it's a bit more complicated.

CreaMD: Come on, don't be silly. Threads like these are all fine of course, but for example appending "(running!)" to an event name when anyone who is interested can see that for him-/herself by checking the event dates seems like promotion to me. By the looks of it this event has already received massive attention, which makes me wonder.

Also, renaming an event to gather attention while it is active is borderline database abuse, but might be forgivable. I'm mostly curious.

If author info wasn't hidden, these prgs would of been done before you know it.

you may know that im against pr-usage of csdb
that was mainly based on imo wrong release dates

but in this case i think its ok to rename an event to show, its active, this will ( hopefully ;) ) be changed back to normal when its over and so it is good...

let's wait for perff to fix in a '(running!)' if an event is happening in this moment just as (future!) etc which should not be shown anywhere but in selected contexts, you dont want this 'future' to appear in the upcoming events, do you!? ;)

so we can skip this abuse in the future by achieving the same result! :-)
