Please state SID Model in your releases!
As the SID models 6581 and 8580 sound totally different I think it really should be mandatory to state the SID model in every release (in "production notes" or so), if possible also the chip version (production year, revision, etc...) to make the music sound exactly the way the composer intended it to sound while producing it. Pleeaaaase! Thanx!

Don't worry. Whoever cares their tunes to be heard as composed always says the chip model. ;) |

Nah, the coders should implement a sidchip detection routine and let the production crash if the desired chip was not found.
/me ducks and hides :)

I want to bring you back to 2011, where tags would be a very nice feature on a frequently used website like this ;) |

seeing how people cant even fill in the existing "tags" correctly, i dont see how that'd solve anything. |

Linus: that check should be in the music routine already! |

Just add SID revision in AKA field and will be searchable via the current CSDb interface. All fine. |

Have CSDB's system extract it directly from the uploaded SID :D. |
