CSDb is soooo slow right now, why?

Hey Perff!

I noticed CSDb is reacting dead slow during the last 2 weeks or so. On average it takes between 1 and 5 seconds for a new page to build up after every klick of a link. Especially when adding or modifying entries this is getting really really tiresome. Any clue to where the problem could be and when it will be fixed?

I tried from several PCs around here (work, home, friends) and the problem persists, just in case that helps.

here it's an average of 3 seconds, which I find fair enough for a fairly dynamic site. trust me: it could be worse.

I'm with Steppe, it's a bit slow.
Not all of the time, but sometimes I wonder if my browser crashed... and then there's the page.

Knoeki, I'm not complaining in a sense of "I paid for it, where's my performance". ;-)
It's just that the drop in performance was from one day to the other. "Back then" the reaction times of CSDb were throughout below 0.5 seconds (estimated).

Hm. It seems that last monday something happened that increased the load quite a bit. I need to look more into it to figure out what is going on. (been on vacation for the last week..)

Edit: Seems some proceses had gone beserk. Kill'ed them, and now everything seems a lot better. Hope you agree. :)

yea, I kinda notice it too now ;)

btw perff, you might want to install mod_deflate and let it handle the output of all php stuff, it'll speed things up even more (and decrease your bandwidth-use a bit as well)
