Competition Results - sort by CSDb rating
This shouldn't be #1 on the importance list, just a a trivia-kind of function. I'll refresh the topic once in a while to keep you reminded -:)
So, it would be interesting and handy to sort the releases by CSDb rating, especially on huge lists like this one... It's not hard to implement and will make some people happy (except Oswald, he's still desperate to get that forum-topic pagination) \:D/ |

i'd like to see an optional mean value for the votes which doesnt involve some weirdo fucked up "magic" calculations :)

I would like to see all names of voters (a.k.a. infamous transparent voting) so we can see those doublefaced idiots who vote one way in sid compo and other in the csdb. ;-) (well, when I think about it, I'm only one who sees that anyway.. ok forget it ;-)
P.S.: the sorting could be solved with a javascript layer. no need to change anything in the code itself (maybe except of adding the attribute id="tablename".) |

Nooo, please don't turn this to another invisible-voter thread. :(
The deal is, when I'm in a fucking hurry, I'd like to sort out those 5-10 crap-fest releases out of 20 or more and check out only those who ranked well here. CSDb votes are (not always, but usually) low for very good reason - as opposite to party-rankings. |

Oh btw. Had a little webapp for calculating mean values instead of Perff's system and it turned out that in most cases, the two values don't differ too much, usually 2-3 tenths +/- ... |

jb: i know. however in some cases the results would be wildly different (when there are few votes, and then some of those are 10s and 1s)

Organise your own compo and you will have such privilege too ;-) (I was pointing out that in some cases there is a big difference in individual voters prefferences in sidcompo votesheets and here and that it would be cool if people could see how individuals change their opinion when they see full credits, or after they see that the tune they put so high in their rank actually won the compo or has even beaten their own tune ;-)). Of course in most cases it's just minor change, but when someone downvotes a tune which was high in their rank before, that doesn't say anything good about their character, I would say. |

All the same for me :) The values are note hard to parse anyway, and if I get too annoyed I'll sort it by myself but I imagine it as a small and fast CSDb feature rather than a third party plugin.
Edit: quotes two times? me so sorry. happened dont know how |

its probably harder to do with javascript than changing the ORDER BY part of the database query from "position in results" to "csdb vote result" =) |

Not really. I can make a demo for Perff when I have time. Then he can decide what is easier. |
