D2TV mod commercial in disguise on c64.sk
Do you think this is fair:
"C64 D2TV PAL version hacked 01:03
The C64 D2TV PAL Version was hacked at Hobby & Elektronik 2005 Expo. The news is in german www.go64.de. But you can check the photo here. For those who are interested in C64 DTV (NTSC) hacking on their own, here is the info dtvhacking.info Alternative: for dummies Updated by CreaMD "
when you click on the "news" (go64.de) all what you find is a picture and sum text telling you how much it costs to order a modded D2TV.
What everyone (atleast me) would except when clicking there is about 15 pictures of the hack, and text on how to do it. But no, there's zero info about how they hacked it at the Hobby & Elektronik 2005 Expo. They just want your money.
Thats like when browsing for porn, and instead a gallery of a naked chick, you get 6 new window with porn advs. ;)

Well, the times when Go64! was a valueable mag are long gone. It is all about making money nowadays... :( |

I think the Go64-guys are probably smiling about this.
All this extra attention.
Might be good for business.. ;) |

I don't see why starting the same discussion on two places (http://c64.sk/index.php?content=reactions.php&id=2790&articleid..). I don't see why the discussion was started with a NEWS ENTRY for complaining (I rate this in my head as spam).
In my eyes, this is what the "reactions" link is for in C64.SK
And I am amazed that CreamD and me agree regarding the DTV post, heheheh |

Nafcom, I thought I have the right to start the discussion in the news section, as posting a commercial in disguise is as much spam as my complains. |

this whole thing with commercial activities beeing mixed up with scene activities is just sad. even more sad to see how maintainers of certain scene pages cant cut the line properly (and i dont refer to c64.sk only here, csdb has the same problem). i just cant take certain things seriously anymore with all those double standards beeing widely accepted. *sigh* |

You not even try to understand CreamD's and my point of view.
Steppe is right, by the way. I am out of the discussion and rather invest my energy in something useful than discussing =) |

i understand it completely, but i dont *agree*. completely different thing. and simply ignoring that fact by "not wasting energy on discussing" won't do any good at all. if anything, it will drag away people from "wasting their energy" on supporting sites that they thought were dedicated to the scene. |
