Retro Remakes: request for resources
Hi to all!
I'm looking for resources for cracktros (fonts, tune reference, logos, etc) for remaking Win32 versions of these old C64 wonders.
Any help is appreciated here or at http://www.retro-remakes.net
Best regards,

you lazy bum, how hard is it to go to intros.c64.org, download some intro and rip whatever you need yourself? :) |

no worries mate. I do not expect to find ripping slaves here.. just in case somebody has/knows something, to let me know. For the SIDs it's quite a huge task to find a tune among the 35'000+ available tunes only by listening to it ;) |

What's the point in making those remakes?
All those can be well emulated on appropriate emulators.
Wouldn't it be better to create something original yourself? |

Only by listening would be rather impossible. =) There's not even the need to listen to them, just search for hex patterns. Depending on the used tool, filesystem and HD speed it takes a couple of minutes to scan the entire HVSC the first time, less than a minute once it's all in cache. |

@iAN: good point! I used a similar brute force technique to rip stuff from the PSP games. Time to write a batch ripper and post less requests that piss off people ;) |
