Scrolltextwriting, the art of

Something I've been missing @ csdb is the possibility to vote for scrolltextwriters. Strange, since scrolltexts are a big part of what made our scene so special.

So c'mon Perff, gimme a chance to honor the really great ones, like Goldrush/Crest & Rowdy/Fairlight ;)

If you search for your handle, you just get lots of texts from sceners threatening other sceners ;)

Ah, you're just jealous because I completely dominated Eat my Pussy with my brilliant stance on the situation in the middle east at that time.

Sure scrollers have been a vital part of and for the scene's communication and growth, yet it's another task which has not really been considered a serious one during the years.

I could name jobs like: linking, designing, ideas, concepts, storyboards, testing, bugfixing, ripping etc. Those aren't votable, but possible to add to your production (like text is too). So where would it end... And some of these deserve to be a better candidate than scrolltextswriters imho.

But I do dig the idea of adding ALL texts to csdb and make it searchable. This would be great for historical purposes.

A good scrolltext rock! It can be the most important part of a release, if done properly. What's more is that it is an art form that has been mastered by few, in 1987, 1995 or in 2004. It takes something to make one stick to reading and also enjoy the pace set by the scroller, but there are a few masterpieces out there.

a scrolltext can be only the most important part of the release if the release sucks.(regardless to scrolltext quality)
