THE MOVERS Treasure Chest V
Hi folks, I think the time has come to start a new Treasure Chest thread.
Links to the old ones:
TMTC
TMTC II
TMTC III
TMTC IV
But before offering the next package we at The Movers want to say THANKS to all of you still delivering new old stuff. Keep going on!
First package in this new thread is from a non-scener guy living in our home-town Bochum. Just know him some years now and found out that he got C-64 disks in his cellar. So I named this collection the Helmut disks. Haven't checked it against CSDB entries. Anyway enjoy the stuff.
Helmut disks
Cheers!

Quote: 2-3 years ago I picked up a disk collection in North Florida.
There are over 1800 disks and I am 1/3 of the way archiving them. They might have belonged to Pira-Ted of NEPA.
Most disks are labeled NEPA and I have a seq file from NEPA HQ BBS. A good portion are also are labeled NFI.
A lot of good stuff not on CSDB yet, but I will begin uploading soon.
Not sure if anyone knew him back in the day, I would like to confirm these belonged to him.
Very nice!!! Good work. Will you share the batch when finished transferring? |

I uploaded set 1 & 2 to assembly, I will put them up on a website shortly.
Its taking me forever. I am going to get to disk 686 by the end of this weekend. Some of these disks are in bad shape and it takes a bit of cleaning to get them functioning. About 2% are beyond repair. |

a quote from Pira-Ted.... The Real Truth!:
"He said to me that he took everything
that he had that said NEPA on it and
trashed it. He said that he told the
companies that he was a pirate, but
that he had reformed." - Captain Kidd/ESI

I am assuming these are his, since 70% of the disk labels say NEPA. There is also a capture from NEPA HQ, which he use to run. A good amount of the other labels say NFI, which he was in as well. I am not even half way through, so I hope to get some concrete proof at some point. |
