Tools needed

I start to make a Tool database, because i neverr find the best tools for my work. The database was driven with the Gamebase frontend, and filled up with datas, files, screenshots...

If somebody will help me, please drop a mail to
toolbase@pro.hu

You can send your applications too, but if you send it for fastening, please include the following infos:

Program name,Group,Release Year, What type of application

Thanks for your helping.

I Check some editors, and there are many mixed type.

Editor with char and sprite, editor with multi and hires.

If i make Gfx/HIRES and Gftx/Multi groups, when i get an editor with multi AND hires support, in wich category must i put it in?

both, you can add that to the record, think not like a 'directory structure'or something where an item can only be put in one place. But make the record, and add the details for it, so in this example: program type: hires editor, multi editor

For the offline using, i use only simple directory like structure in the database.

Well, guess you have to copy the files to the respective directories then, so you have two instances of the file on your harddisk.
A database structure however can assign more than one feature to one single entry. Just like Shake suggested.

What about cross-development tools? Like cross-assemblers (DASM, XA, ca65(?)), graphics converters, etc.

Is the intention of this archive/database to be strictly for native-c64-tools only, or are you interested in cross-tools too?

I personally think that cross-development tools would be nice and usefull addition.

At first the native, and after all the crossdev tools, or including some not mainly commodore releated, but very usefull tools (like multitrack midi to onetrack midi, because midi to sid converter can only converts one track midi)

There acutally ARE midi->sid converters? Hey, that's something interesting. Anyone into this who can give me some hints on software etc.? Would be nice. I did quite some midi-work, but never figured that this might be my ultimate pathway to c64-music :).

All the best.
