Coding while you're drunk
Hi,
What do you think about coding while being drunk (up to a degree, or down to a degree, matter of view :)
It mostly works with music, but...
I remember coding was flawless and came by 'instinct' while I was moderately drunk sometimes.... how come... I'll never now...
It would be really interesting to see releases from coders breaking down ther brains to bare thoughts then building up intuitive wonderful things...
Kinda paradoxon, but might work. I think there are coders who never drink beer/whine...then what about meditation or coding just after wakin'up?!
Let's imagine: Drunk Demo competition :) LoooLler...
(of course there's no way to check drunkenity, but I don't care :)
now, shame on me for bringing something like this...
but I might code a demo as a result... who knows... |

Oh, if this exists i accidentally re-invented the wheel :) Really, i just named what usually comes to my mind when being too drunk to code. The online order is somewhat different than the offline order i presented here, though, and it may well change with context. :D |

Hahaha I've tried a couple of times and successfully failed like a boss! It was very hard type. It was like if someone was shuffling all the keys of my C64 around every minute! :P |

I can't even imagine drunk coding, just typing plain text can be hard enough while drunk, let alone getting all commands and stuff right. A typo here, a typo there and a few more typos and the code would render nothing.
So the only thing that actually works better while being drunk is understanding foreign languages. I can even understand Danish while drunk, something I usually find pretty hard. ;) |

Drinking and coding is a no no. Although perhaps for music it might be different |

Pretty simple: I wanted the scroll effect in Act Now! (the part with the bouncing ball) look like the the scroll effect in Wet Dreams (yes, the part with the dragon)
Compare for yourself and you will come to the same conclusion: Coding and Booze... Just not friends... |
