Quote:it should be an option if the user wants injection or the drive emulated autostart.
guess what - it is an option =P
Quote:Ah finally got the colors right! Thanx 4 da tips!
showing correct c64 colors pretty much *requires* CRT emulation, btw. </rant> |

I haven't read it in this release, but was the sound issue fixed?
(Sound: Sound buffer overflow (cycle based))
This particular error always happened when I had an active vice window and say, I loaded winamp, or firefox, or vlc. Anything else with sound for that matter.
Was it fixed in this release?
I figured it was easier to ask, rather than install and go through all mentioned above. |

Thanks Groepaz. I'm using 2.2 at the moment. I'm not sure if it's the SAME 2.2 everyone else has because when I asked about an NTSC border bug fix, Andreas fixed it almost right away and gave me the fix. Not long after though, it was released.
Thanks again. I've downloaded it, but prolly won't install it until later today.

1. where can I turn on injection mode for autostart?
2. emulation issue Deep Blue has a flickering sprite line at the start which I've never seen, neither in emu or real thing |

Oswald: Settings -> Autostart settings -> "PRG autostart mode" -> Inject to RAM
The Phantom: edit vice.ini and increase the soundfragmentsize to 4, it will help with buffer problems (popup in 2.2) or crackles/jitters in 2.3+ (SoundFragmentSize=4)

yeah, soundfragmentsize=4 will eliminate the noise when exiting from warp mode too, nice hint. would be nice if it was selectable in sound settings (large=2, VERY large=4) =) |

thanks for the help!
tlr: OS = XP, x64.exe, default settings. not 100% sure I did not see this bug on the real thing, been a few years I last saw this demo even in emu. anyway now checked and the sprite flicker bug is not present in 2.2. |

Ok, verified that this is a regression in x64 2.3. It's probably related to all cpu improvements done for x64sc.
x64 2.2 works. x64 2.3 & 2.4 bugs.
x64sc 2.3 and 2.4 works.
In general x64sc is much more accurate that x64. |
