Trusted people to do CSDb Development

There have been many feature requests and zero response and changes. Why is CSDb so hostile with the users and why cant someone take over Perff's job and do some development from time to time ? Whats happening behind the scenes ?

Can we have some html5 demo effects please? or a sidplay now playing display for each person logged in??

Certainly also want CSDb to be hooked up to a coffee pot and each login have coffee sent through the "tubes" of the internet directly to the brain of the scener who just logged in with a coffee shot! That is doable also and won't bog down the server!

Also, have CSDb check grammar, especially for run on sentences, and have it auto correct such issues with Vulcan text!

As long as the grammar checker won't also scan all C64 files (esp. German and Polish demos) I vote 'No.'.

so it would be better to hand it over to someone else who is truated and has the time and knowledge. also it would be nice to have a response like "sorry guys no time, etc" :)

if I had the knowledge I'd gladly implement some features, but I know shit of web development. Ofcourse it'd had to be a person who is willing. Fex. Jailbird is up to the task, but I guess he is not much into scene matters these days.

ian :)

Why even trusted people? Let just push the donate button hard and hire some russian lowlifes. Code review is much easier than making it all up again :)

I dont think Perff wants help. and/or he's too scared to share the csdb codebase with others. I've only seen one feature added in the last 5 years (bbses) and that's it.

so its simple, csdb will remain uber slow with a crap interface.

its a shame really

Has anyone written up a specification?

First step would be to define what would be involved to see just how big a task this would be (quite large I would suspect)
