i'm greatly impressed not only by reyn's multiinstrumental skills but also programming technique - i wonder what hardware is used for making and synchronizing recorded material. especially that newly played fragments sound identical like recorded loops in terms of sound - i guess the hardware is not too cheap :D i've noticed reyn toggling some devices on the floor. what exactly are they? ;) |

Wow Reyn!
Damn I like the guitar!
I remember how we listened to the original music and that we finished the whole game together.
It feels like this is the original music and Galway did the cover... Maybe he went back to the future...
I am very proud of you Reyn!

btw we can admire reyn's studio located in church. i wonder what is the aim of choosing such a place :) i guess that music studio is supposed to eliminate reverbs, here it's slightly difficult :D i see reyn is a big fan of vintage hardware and places :D |

Actually. Church looks much better than the geek dungeon in Green Berets, so (probably) that's why...
Anyway. did anyone say deflektor? Must check!
...after 10 minutes....
GOOD! |

the most amazing part is that it doesn't sound like a looperguy anymore, but like a complete band. reyn really improved his game over the last years, which was already pretty damn clear at X08 ;)
Wizball is the sum of it all, with cool footage from the church of reyn on top of it.
More! ;)
PS: the guitar solos are just *amazing* |

Thanks guys!
Well, the studio will actually have a nice reverb of hopefully like 1 second. Which is pretty long, but I really like that myself. You can always closemic it and there is also gonna be an extra dry booth.
There's gonna be a floor above the recording room but then still it's gonna be like 7.5 meters high. Lovely reverb..
Working on some other video's btw.. I'll keep you guys posted and spread the word..
Cheers,
Reyn.

Once again absolutely awesome! I love Martin Galway, and this is a cover that Martin cannot be anything short of proud of.
One small comment perhaps (and this may be due to the UTube sound or my own feeble setup) is that these looped tunes do get kind of dense as new instruments are recorded during the song, if you catch my drift. It becomes harder to identify the individual instruments. I could be just me though, and I have to check my sound setup :)

Well, there is this new thing called HD. But sadly when you don't add the &fmt=18 after the link, it will play it in an lesser quality AND sadly also in mono.
With the Green Beret it was a different time where you could upload it with the same Flash Movie settings You Tube uses so it wouldn't re-encode it and make it mono. |

As long as it's fit for the Apple TV (max 720p), yes please! :)
The Youtube version works quite good on my phone. Was listening (and now and then watching) to it on the bus home.
Great work Reyn! |
