VN Poll- & Votesheet
Another ten days until deadline.
In the last issue of Vandalism News the Opinion Poll was named "Oldskool Multiplatforming". This round the Opinion Poll will deal with the flora of new hardware on the c64, and how it may affect the scene.
The Voting part of the sheet should be well known for everyone. Fill it in and participate in order to have accurate charts published in the coming issue.
The sheet is available here: http://allt.jonatanforsberg.net/krams/c64/vn56vs.txt
In order to qualify it should be handed in prior to midnight on Monday, May 9th. |

How do you want the replies to the poll? Short yes/no type answers, or long comments? |

The more interesting the answers in the Opinion Poll, the more interesting the chapter becomes. In the last issue quite a few comments made the reading engaging. |

THE VN#56 POLL - "HARDWARE EVOLUTIONS":
* The Chameleon cartridge was recently released for the c64 market and it
boasts an impressive number of features. It is currently sold as a beta
version, but the actual hardware is all done. What do you reckon?
* The 1541 Ultimate is now out in a second version and just like with the
first edition, coders can take advantage of characteristics in it and
achieve demo effects impossible on a stock c64 and 1541. Geek or bad?
* The DC2N replaces the classic Datassette and is only one amongst several
new gadgets of late that lets the c64 play with cassette (-images) again.
A tape revival for your old breadbox, is this pushing it too far?
* The ZoomFloppy claims it brings disk archival into the 21st century. How
do you transfer stuff from the internet/more modern computer to your real
hardware? Do you ever go on-line with your c64 using 64NIC+, RRnet, etc.?
* Some claim the Amiga scene died because of a constant demand for
hardware updates. Is the recent explosion of new hardware the beginning of
the demise for the c64 scene? Do you have further comments on the matter?
DEADLINE FOR HANDING IN POLL- & VOTESHEETS IS MONDAY EVE,
and the email is macx64(*)gmail. |

THE VN#57 POLL - "GAMING RENAISSANCE":
* Are you interested in new games at all? Are you willing to purchase
games for the c64 or should it all be freeware today?
* Does a physical box with a disk or cartridge and possible paraphernalia
create more value, or is a diskimage enough?
* How much would you be willing to spend on a full price game for the c64
developed today, and how often would you consider buying new games?
* What are your thoughts of the projects of the contemporary game houses
of e.g. Protovision, Psytronik and RGCD?
* Do you have any ideas for c64 games that should be developed further? |

Fellow c64 scene nerds,
As autumn is in progress here in the northern hemisphere, the staff is busy with putting together issue 58 of Vandalism News. We are celebrating another year of Commodore progress and the twentieth one of releasing this offline diskette magazine. The fourth Opinion Poll this year is entitled "Cracked Broken" and investigates the current scenes standpoints on cracking, a topic which is partly reflected also in this issues Votesheet. Participate and do your duties! Deadline is November 1st, 2011.
