Playing sidtunes in car with high volume.
I am playing sidtunes (converted from sid to wave) in my car, at high volume. (My girlfriend sat in the passenger seat next to me)
And my girlfriend is still with me. How is that possible? But i am greatful at the same time.
Today i played Barbarian (Richard Joseph) in my car, and my hair on my arms stood up.
Are there any more crazy like me out there, (and still have a girlfriend) ;)
(and how can my cat be sleeping in my sofa with this sidtunes on?) Amazing.... |

Fredrik, I'm with you, buddy!
My wife turns into a zombie when playing sid tunes when she's around. Eyes all evil and white, trying to kill me and stuff like that. She never understood how that "noise" could be pleasant to listen to. So after years of trying to convince her, I gave up. (Exception: She likes LMan's digitracks, when played loud.)
And yeah, playing sids in the car at full volume is just great! |

I've listened to SID tunes in the car on numerous occasions. Always alone tough (shameful secret :) ). I once listened to the live stream of a music compo (I think it was one of the X parties) during a long motorway trip. |

There’s a small chance I do not play a SID tune in the car, unless my family is with me, then the chance is approaching 99%. I often put up one of the huge playlists from Unepic SID Channel on YouTube and will have SID music for the whole ride. I also play music from other platforms, like the MSX though, when I feel like it.
I do play any latest tunes I create myself to my family though. Sometimes even get approval, but they just don’t understand the SID life. For them it is too far away from whatever they expect music to sound like. |

I listen to SIDs in the car all the time, you are lucky that they do not tell you that this noise is unbearable, for some it is noise, for others it is music of the finest that exists. |

i wish i could listen to sid tunes really loud... been at home for 5 month after a burnout at work and got a high pitched tinnitus at about 12.5khz. cant really sleep with that tone. though i try a new app called "tinnitus notched tunes" that is filtering out my tinnitus tone from music i listen to. the sids i try to listen to sound a bit dull though... like any other music or the livestreams the app supports. dont know if anyone else of you is suffering from tinnitus... |
