Insomnia bug report
I understand lots of ppl are having problems running
the demo on a real c64/128 (how ironic).
The big problem is, it doesnt happen on all my machines, Vip's or Lax's machines so its really hard finding a bug when it doesnt happen.
I'm mainly guessing :/
Yesterday i got some memory-dumps of the demo crashing from several ppl. Hope it will help me understand what goes wrong on some machines.
Will do my best to find the problem asap!
Thanx for all the kind words :)

Hello.
Does Insomnia run under emulators such as winVICE's x64 and CCS64?
I don't have a real PAL c64 to try it out and have to rely on emulators. If this demo is emufuxxored, then may the demo gods smile unkindly on the demo crew. :)
Enjoy.

Good work! v1.0 didn't run on any of my drives. Now v1.1 seems to run on all of them (and one among them is really sensitive). |

I also notice improvements, that's good. The demo still crashes on my C128D (plastic) in the first wireframe vector part (reliably) and refuses to go past the scaling just before the DYSP sinus scroller starts, I tried three drives. Maybe it's just a VIC related problem, Raven told something about that in the note.
But (and now the good news) it runs on a different C64 (damn old breadbox) without problems on the same three drives that crashed on the C64-C... :-) |
