Starglider (C) 1986 Rainbird
not really scene-related but some people online might be able to help out:
I need some information for my online encyclopaedia on that game
Music is said to be by Nigel Grieve (HVSC info), also heard it's by David Dunn, what's true?
Is the music a cover of an other platform's music (Atari ST, Amiga?)
Who did the music player?
In-Game Sound Fx is said to be Nigel Grieve, also heard it's by David Dunn, what's true?
Who painted the loading picture?
Who did the 1x1 Font?
Said to be coded by C.M. Wong? True? And what does C.M. stand for?
In the highscore list are three names Ching (probably Ching M. Wong), Glyn and Joey, who are they and what did they do?
Exact release day?
When was this released in North America, also need cover scans and everything included?
Who coded in-game, who coded the title screen?
Who did the game graphics, who the vectors?
Who designed the game?
Who did the concept?
I need the manual as .txt file and scanned
Has this ever been re-released (as budget)? Maybe on a mag cover tape?
How much was the original price in Germany and the USA?
I remember there was a German ad for this game, anyone scanned it?
Need scans of Front/Back/sides Cover Overall Tape Disk Manuals Novella Poster Keyguide Loading Instructions Extras)
Any reviews from old magazines are wanted to be scanned
What's the name and the coder of the tape and disk copy protection/loader?
The TWA crack of this game features a grey coloured loading picture? Is this just a thing in the crack or has there been a release featuring a different coloured loading picture?
Is there a preview of this game?
On which compilations was this game featured?
any cracked version which isnt featured on my site? A trained one? Any cheats?
Is the cover scan without the CBM64/128 sticker on my page a C64 cover?
Does this truly work 1oo% on NTSC C64s?
Who cracked the crack which is listed with unknown cracker on my page?
Who designed/created/painted the cover art?
Who designed/created/painted the magazine ad?
Has AGAV poster been in the C64 version?
I need a original copy (.G64) of the disk?
Need tape (.tap) / disk (.g64) of the compiliation 'Supreme Challenge'

well starglider.. the original was made by Jez San on amiga or ST, although I'm guessing Amiga.
the company behind it was argonaut software, you would know that company for games like "starfox" on the snes.
the company was based locally to me (London, UK), in Edgware and System 3 was also local in Harrow.

Coder: C.M. Wong
Musician: Nigel Grieve

there was an interview with Jez San in a retro gamer mag I have. I'll post more info if I find it..
i don't know who is/were .. shown on the title screen

Ahh I remember working on those old offices in Colindale, the floors used to bounce when walking along the upper floor. :) |
