This would be a lot more interesting if the server could send the files faster than 1 kB/s...

Strange, I had downloads with up to 30 KB/sec...
This has only recently been made public on the web, so I guess the server suffers from permanent overload. :-) |

Well I think I peaked at 3 kB/s. After downloading monty on the run I have a few comments though:
* Distributing the first part as an exe file is extremely annoying and keeps me from downloading the files on my Mac.
* It looks like the movie was made with an emulator, and not the real machine. A bit of a pity since especially the music suffers.
* The player didn't pick up all the coins. It's possible to finish the game anyway of course, but a complete solution would have been nicer.
* There's a horrible encoding bug in the middle of the file - I can give you the exact location if you want me to.
All in all it's a good idea though, but it needs a little more work.

To the Download-Problem.
The video-files are on my home server, that's the reason
sometimes the download rate are so bad.
To the Monty Longplay
I'm afraid of for the errors in the movie but was the first
longplay and this was beginner mistakes.
The later longplays are better and free from errors.
Yes, you are right, the videos was recorded from the
Vice Emulator.

Oh, just noticed that the download has completely been shifted to e-mule anyway. In any case, the above five files are the ones I have and they are set to "release" upload priority, so you should be able to get them fairly fast. |
