That surely isn't true, the game was published in 1984.

The first great intro IMHO is this one: ABC Crackings Intro

this is funny, last week Lemming showed me an old FIG demo that had some rasters. I asked since when rasters became a standard thing in demo's and intro's and suddenly I remembered Anti-ROM's Dutch raster flag "intro" so I went looking for it.

There appears to be a modded version from 83? (Lode Runner) and the first real one listed is from 84 (Valhalla), do those count as a real intro aswell since it's using those steady rasters which was very rare back then?

The crack Lode Runner/Anti-Rom is very very probably from 1984 as well as US games took a while over the ocean back in the days. Some should upload a proper crack as the one in the db is a re-crack by some German lamer.

Sure? GB says 1983, but they might be wrong of course.

And yes, the original AntiROM release of Lode Runner would be nice to have here!

Shouldn't be so difficult to restore the changed version.

Cream Crackers Intro (static text) is presumably from 1983 as well. It is only a text line but it moves in a raster synchronized fashion.

EDIT: Hmm, the one on intros.c64.org didn't move. Maybe I misremembered? I could have sworn I've seen one that scrolls up...

They are wrong. Comes naturally with such a large database.
This often happens with games which are programmed in the later part of a year, producing process takes a while til it hits the market and the copyright hint remains the old one.

I've only seen the static one.

Apparently the moving one is on here: Mario Bros
