Project Giana
OK, this is no real C64 topic but it's C64 related in a way.

A new game in development for PC and later other platforms based on the good old Giana Sisters. Several people which were involved in the production of the original game are involved. Check out the project page for details. This game is crowdfunded so not mainly focused on profit.

that seems to be a common misconception really.
overall, i think this comes at least 10 years too late. it should have been on the PSX at a time when not 10000 other very similar games already existed. |

It looks super nice, but yeah, I guess it's getting hard to come up with new ideas in today's game industry. :-)
And many new games for smartphones and such just seem utterly boring to me. So I'd still prefer some action game with a bit of adventure feel. |
